You will be part of the Finance Planning & Analysis department reporting to the Site Controller (FP&A Manager) and will replace the Site Controller during his absence. The main focus of this position will be the coordination of planning & control processes and activities, as well as advising through non-standard analyzes and reports. The Assistant Controller will also contribute to improvements of financial processes & tools allowing FP&A to expand the business partner role.
You will be supporting the Site Management in the preparation of the annual Plan and Latest Best Estimates of the Manufacturing P&L and Balance Sheet, within the applicable guidelines and quality standards.
Besides coordinating and performing of Planning & Control processes and activities, as well as advising through standard analyzes and reports, your focus will be on improvement of financial processes & tools. Explore and coordinate implementation opportunities in Data Analytics with appropriate tools.
The Assistant Controller will be the main point of contact for specific internal customers like departments within the plant, Finance Shared Services, Corporate Financial Services, division and headquarters for the areas of responsibility and will be answering ad hoc questions. From a categorial perspective Headcount and Payroll will be the main area of responsibility and from a functional perspective you will the single point of contact for specific departments.
In order to prepare financial analyzes you will be actively gathering and pursuing data and information for your own area of attention and translate these into advices.
Financial calculations for strategic management decisions are also the responsibility of this role. Examples are cost price calculation scenarios and analysis for investments.
Shared responsibility for the maintenance and improvement of the cost price model.
Maintenance of financial local procedures within the applicable corporate guidelines and policies, as well as checking compliance with procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
HBO+ (bachelor’s) / university degree in business economics or business administration.
Minimum of 3-5 years preferably in a Manufacturing Environment or experience in a similar financial position.
You think out of the box and bring new ideas to the table.
You are accurate, have numerical insight and demonstrable affinity with automated systems (MS Excel and Databases).
Fluency in Dutch and English (verbally as well as in writing) is a must.
You are curious by nature and always find the best ways to approach new stakeholders.
You are used to achieving deadlines and targets individually but also within a team.
