Product Development Engineer - Power Transmission Components

Job description

Tasks:
Develop new coupling, drive component, and conveyor component products.

Generate industry-leading technologies that can be incorporated into Power Transmission products and/or processes.

Create tools that can improve efficiencies through the product design process.

Ensure all testing is validated and recorded while supporting changes to existing products.

Identify and communicate industry trends and demands to business team.

Lead and train new engineers while supporting cost reduction activities.

Project management.

Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering AND 3 years of experience in product engineering
OR
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering AND 1 year of experience in product engineering

*A Master's Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
*A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years' CO Engineering and/or Product Development Engineering experience with power transmission components.

Excellent project management skills, advanced written and oral communication skills and expert technical capacity

Light travel to manufacturing facilities and vendors.

Solidworks experience

Proficiency with FEA analysis techniques.

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
