Job description

Tasks:
In this role the candidate will participate, from the technical and commercial perspective to the implement of the growth plan established for the unit. The candidate will be developing new markets, markets segments and opportunities and will be at ease with the ABB Relion relays line of products and services in order to ensure maximum market penetration.

- Develop and implement marketing strategies, including but not limited to pricing, promotional policies, distribution services and other factors relevant to group success.
- Provides market studies, analysis, competitor research, customer research.
- Follow the market, trends, and technological issues. Identify areas of special interest. Supports segment head and department head with market data.
- Lead proposal preparation, and negotiations with customers and suppliers.
- Promote ABB products among customers.
- Participate in the preparation of yearly budgets, and monitor business progression.
- Implements special and new initiatives to expand markets and market segments penetration including OEM, EPC's, end users as well as the introduction of new product lines, etc.
- Expand ABB Distribution Automation presence to regions where ABB presence is limited
- Be the primary technical resource for all Canadian internal and external customers
- Prepare and provide customer training and work with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for ABB Relion relays
- Articulates technology and produc positioning to both business and technical users
- Represents ABB product and innovative solutions to customers and at field events such conferences, seminars, trade shows, etc.
- Lead and implement proposals and quotations
- Conveys customer requirements to Local Business Unit Product Manager
