Machine Operator -CNC 1 (2nd shift)

Job description

Tasks:
Responsibilities:
- Reads work instructions to determine job specifications, machine adjustments, and material requirements
- The operator is responsible for producing a quality product using the quality plans and work instructions
- Documents work completed using the manufacturing system
- Makes minor offset adjustments to CNC equipment and uses controls under guidance of a mentor or supervisor to adhere to established specifications
- Awareness of procedures to use a round hazardous materials. Recognizes HAZMAT conditions and alerts appropriate personnel
- Uses dial calipers, snap gauges or micrometers
- Monitors work to ensure that machine /equipment is not malfunctioning
- Reports malfunctions in a timely manner to appropriate personnel
- Stacks, marks, packs, and transports finished work pieces
- Other duties may be assigned
