In our Profit Center Surge Arresters and Fiber Optic Current Sensors (FOCS) in Wettingen, Switzerland, we produce and offer innovative, reliable and secure overvoltage protection solutions as well as fiber optic current sensors and measuring systems in the segments of power generation and distribution, railway, and industry. Our ambition is to impress our worldwide customers as a technology leader with world-class overvoltage protection and measurement solutions. We do so by expanding our leading position in core technologies as well as by continuously improving our business processes. Join our team as a quality and operational excellence intern for 3 to 18 months in our growing High Voltage Business Unit. We are looking for a highly motivated student to support the Quality and Operational Excellence Organization in the improvement processes of the quality management system. The department offers a varied, exciting work with open and fruitful discussions in an international team. Let's write the future - together.

Tasks:

- Support the Quality Manager in developing and executing Quality plans and requirements (safety, functionality, regulatory, usability) to ensure that all Quality requirements are met and support other continuous improvement projects
- Represent Quality in product development teams/projects
- Assist the Supplier Quality Engineering to coordinate supplier corrective actions
- Work with Manufacturing to coordinate, and monitor production processes to ensure compliance to all External Regulation Requirements to ensure that safe and effective products are produced
- Provide support with verification validation plans
- Support in other tasks from the Quality department as required

Requirements:

- Bachelor Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology, Engineering Technology or equivalent technical Degree
- Basic Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and other recognized international quality system standards
- Ability to present problem and root cause description, corrective and preventive actions proposals
- Ability to determine and develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions must be thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives
- Prior experience in sampling, design of experiments, process capability analysis as well as the capability to review different manufacturing processes (Control plan, process control and quality control) preferred.
- Fluent in German and English
- Analytical abilities combined with an assertive, hands-on and team orientated personality
