Tasks:

Depending on planned duration and focus topic of the applicant:
- Training and literature research in Fatigue methods for dynamically stressed components
- Modeling and simulation of electrical switching devices by using commercial FE and multibody software
- Applying of Fatigue methods for lifetime calculation of electrical switching devices
- Validation of the developed simulation methods with endurance tests

Requirements:

- Fully matriculated student of mechanical engineering, engineering mathematics or comparable course of studies, at least in semester 5.
- Good knowledge in Mathematics and Applied Mechanics, Experience in FE simulation and multibody simulation advantageous (possibility for on-the-job training)
- Fluent English in spoken and written
- Duration: 4-6 months

Please note that internships are generally limited to six months, while voluntary internships during a bachelor course are for a maximum of three months.

Thesis:
With the approval of your university, you can complete your bachelor or master's degree by spending three or six months with us as you work on a practically focused thesis. You define the subject matter with us, with the support of the right contacts in various departments.
