Intern - Proposal Engineer

Job description

ABB is currently seeking candidates for the Proposal Engineering co-op program to serve our Industrial Automation division. This position is based out of our Cleveland, OH facility. You'll work as part of our Industrial Automation team, which serves utility, industrial, and commercial customers with products and services to help distribute electricity efficiently and reliably, maintain power quality, and control and manage electrical networks.

Tasks:

Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• This role will involve working in cross-functional teams with the development & distribution of technical proposals for customers (internal & external).
• Basic responsibilities include (but are not limited to): technology research / analysis, cost analysis, developing value-added propositions, strategic planning, etc.
• Additional duties may be assigned, as required.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or PhD program at an accredited US based University.

Preferred Qualification:
• Electrical or Chemical Engineering.
• 3.0+ GPA.
• Previous Internship experience.
• Familiarity with control systems (e.g. PLC and/or DCS) and Networks.
• Proficiency with the usage of database, MS-Office, Visual Basic, CAD, and/or Graphic applications.
• Knowledge of the Spanish language is a plus.
• Local students preferred.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
