Tasks:

Specific Intern responsibilities
•Support operational finance initiatives involving twelve manufacturing sites (and 1 distribution center) across the U.S., Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
•Assist controlling team with the standardization of practices and procedures such as:
•Determining manufacturing finance performance metrics & measurement methodologies
•Inventory control & reduction practices
•Results analysis and reporting
•Analysis of backlog and distribution metrics
•Analysis of cost savings & operational excellence initiatives
•Support month-end/quarter-end close activities
•Support standardization and analysis of internal control activities
•Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned during internship

Requirements:

Required skills:
•GPA of 3.2 or better
•Must be currently enrolled in an accounting or finance program within a university or graduate school
•Preference given to those whose academic program includes a manufacturing emphasis
•Some travel may be required

Preferred skills:
• Concentrations preferred: Currently pursuing degree in Accounting or Finance
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
•Excellent analytical skills,
•Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced, constantly-changing, environment
•Interest in manufacturing
•Familiar with Microsoft Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

Location: Memphis, TN

Hours per week: 40 (flexible depending on school schedule - Spring and Summer)
