Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Transportation Coordinator will be supporting the shipping and receiving functions in the Guin Manufacturing facility.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  To coordinate the transportation (shipping and/or receiving) of finished goods and/or raw materials to local and national 3M locations and subsidiaries.
·  To ensure the safe and timely arrival of materials by tracking the daily movement of loads.
·  To coordinate specifically assigned transportation related activities.

Basic Qualifications:  

·  Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
·  Minimum of one (1) year of transportation coordination experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
·  Working knowledge of PC based software, such as MS Office
·  Basic knowledge of statistics fundamentals
·  Demonstrated organization and communication skills

Location: Guin, Alabama

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
