Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Angleton Plant Engineering Supervisor will oversee operations of the maintenance team consisting of 7 persons across various craft areas including mechanical, systems/electrical, machining and fabrication. This person will lead and engage direct reports in their support of overall equipment uptime, own and be accountable for metrics directly pertaining to the optimized operation of manufacturing equipment and drive continuous improvement efforts in the production of fusion-bonded epoxy powder resin at the Angleton, TX facility.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Provide direct supervision to assigned employees through leadership, coaching and training Understand and enforce corporate and location policies and procedures and ensure compliance to all applicable regulations and laws
·  Provide technical direction to craftspeople and assist in diagnosing equipment problems as required to expedite work of unit
·  Ensure appropriate use of maintenance record systems to contribute to efficiency of operations, accuracy of procedures and availability
·  Evaluate equipment and maintenance history to determine and establish appropriate preventive maintenance requirements, and/or to recommend predictive Maintenance programs for optimizing effectiveness of maintenance procedures and maximizing equipment reliability
·  Act as liaison for Corrective Maintenance (CM) action item updates and coordinate resource allocation of personnel to support engineering driven CM execution
·  Responsible for reviewing all downtime events, conducting cause analysis and making recommendations for corrective action
·  Manage vendor services and outside supplier activities on site.
·  Act as site champion and coordinate energy efficiency, security, physical assets, and refrigerants
·  Implement new and modified processes and equipment to standardization.
·  Support engineering staff in their efforts around key performance measures for assigned processes: (1) Operating efficiency (OEE/CEE); (2) Rates; (3) Process yield/variability; (4) Equipment runtime and downtime
·  Utilize Six Sigma and statistical tools for improving processes.
·  Utilize Lean Manufacturing to reduce waste.
·  Assure process safety on process changes, operational safety procedures, and materials: (1) Assist production in resolving safety issues; (2) Assist production in developing safety procedures; (3) Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures as necessary
·  Ability to cover nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessary

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possess Associate degree or higher in an engineering and/or technical discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
·  Minimum (2) two years of maintenance and/or engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Bachelor degree in in an engineering and/or technical discipline (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
·  Minimum (1) one year of supervisory experience
·  Experience as a process engineer in a manufacturing environment
·  Experience as a maintenance technician and/or leader in a manufacturing environment
·  Minimum of (1) one year experience in best manufacturing practices (ie – Six Sigma, Lean, SPC)
·  Statistics and Minitab experience
·  Strong project management and coaching skills
·  High personal integrity, an energetic and positive attitude and a self-starter
·  Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and organizational skills to manage different priorities and have the ability to communicate across various work groups within an organization
·  Ability to perform root cause analysis and apply systematic thinking in problem solving

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
