Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Maintenance Planner will be planning and scheduling daily/hourly work tasks and providing technical direction to craftspeople for providing maintenance and repair services on manufacturing machines, systems, and facilities to maximize reliability and runtime of production operations.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Estimate work time, labor, and material resources to accomplish tasks
· Coordinate plan and schedule maintenance activities with production, engineering, contractors, and craft people to meet schedules and business priorities.
· Lead meetings, maintain documentation and records.
· Implement and execute preventive and repair maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and maintenance costs.
· Work with purchasing, vendors, and engineering to specify, order, and expedite parts and materials.
· Provide support of safety and quality programs
· Lead or participate on special projects as assigned.
· Provide craft supervision as needed
· Willing to work some weekends and to be on-call for support when necessary

Basic Qualifications:

· Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
· Minimum of one (1) year of combined experience as a maintenance planner, team lead, and/or supervisor in a private, public, government,or military environment
· Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment in a private, public, government,or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

· Two-year technical degree from an accredited institution
· Technical familiarity with manufacturing plant equipment and plant utilities.
· Experience or knowledge of the skilled craft trades
· Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance technologies
· Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (i.e. Maximo, SAP, SAMS) in a private, public, government or military environment

Location: Cottage Grove, MN

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic
