Job Summary :

The person hired for the position of Quality Analyst Software Engineer will be part of the Clinical Research development team to test methodologies and logic based components to be used in the end-user software. This testing focus will include data analytics and comparison of expected results with actual results covering complex logic paths.

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

·  Lead all aspects of QA test planning and test execution activities for assigned Outpatient components.
·  Supports Scrum team in:

- planning sessions and all Scrum ceremonies to identify sequence and approach to sprint development

- design sessions to influence design, based on testing needs

- data quality and data processing tests

- create Automated Test Harnesses

- creation of test cases to certify that the specifications are satisfied - execution of test cases (both manual and automated), reporting defects, development of test cases/test data to certify defect fixes, and contribution to the Demo/Retrospective reviews

 - design/development of automated applications, scripts, running automated scripts and analyzing results

·  Actively participates in relevant corporate programs/initiatives, complies with professional and quality standards complies with corporate policies and procedures, and acts in a manner consistent with 3M’s values and ethical standards.

Basic Qualifications:

·  Possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of four (4) years of equivalent experience in Quality Assurance in lieu of a Bachelor's degree requirement
·  Minimum of five (5) years of experience with creating software quality test plans and testing networked applications implemented using one or more of the following: JAVA, SQL, JSON, XML
·  Minimum of three (3) year of experience working on an “Agile” team using Scrum Framework in a private, public, government or military environment

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in computer science or information systems management or related field
·  5+ years of experience with creating software quality test plans and testing networked applications in Java
·  3+ years of experience with programming languages (i.e. Java, Python, SQL)
·  2+ years of experience with healthcare related data (claims and billing, healthcare informatics, inpatient and outpatient data) and HIPAA requirements is highly desired
·  3 years plus experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Junit, TestNG
·  3 years plus experience testing applications using JSOn and XML
·  Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server within an Agile development environment
·  Ability to work independently and in a team environment
·  Demonstrated technical skills with sound oral and written technical communications
·  Able to communicate effectively to non-technical audience both verbally and written
·  Ability to meet project plan timelines and produce a high-quality product
·  Ability to take individual initiative and responsibility for assignments
·  Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
·  Ability to quickly learn and apply new tools and technology
·  Ability to effectively communicate ideas and information to other team members
·  Demonstrate ability to improve on these skills through career development activities
·  Prior experience testing data analytics in preferred
