DESCRIPTION

The Amazon cross-channel marketing measurement and optimization team is looking for a data scientist to join us. The candidate will be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of marketing and using the insights to help stakeholders to optimize their cross-channel marketing spend and allocation. This role requires an individual with strong quantitative modeling skills and the ability to apply statistical/machine learning to both aggregate regional data and customer level data. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

The candidate's responsibilities include:
· Build econometric models and conduct statistical/machine learning analyses to measure the financial impact of cross channel marketing spend, and inform volume and mix of future spend
· Design and measure experiments
· Build scalable analytic solutions using state of the art tools

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Masters with two years of experience or a Bachelors with five years of experience.
· Experience in SQL, R, Python, or another scripting language; command line usage;
· Track record of diving into data to discover hidden patterns
· Knowledge of various machine learning techniques and key parameters that affect their performance
· Evidence of using relevant statistical measures such as confidence intervals
