Experiences

Studio Photographer

11-2016 - NowThis job consists of three main roles; photography, sales, and promoting. PixiFoto specialises in family photography, photographing pregnancies, babies, toddlers and children as well as big families. During the photography sessions I have the opportunity to pose my subjects and create different themes and photographic styles; from traditional to contemporary. Other duties include basic editing, telesales, promoting, sales, courtesy calls, cleaning and organising the studio, checking the lights and camera. We have individual as well as team targets to reach. This is a very fast paced role, where great customer service and a positive attitude is vital to achieving big results.

Receptionist

03-2016 - 11-2016 This was a customer facing role; I signed in and out a large amount of companies and clients daily. It was vital that client’s gained a great first impressions, so looking and acting professional was of upmost importance. Other duties included, checking meeting rooms, creating Wi-Fi accounts, answering phones, organising transport, and general enquiries.

Photography Practitioner

10-2015 - 08-2016 Main duties include; teaching 16 year olds basic photography, planning lessons, giving presentations and demonstrations, delegating tasks and shepherding them to different locations. The most important skills for this role is time management and adaptability. Every week my class liaise with different community partners which can vary from museums, care homes, foreign summer camps and other charities. I work alongside a senior mentor and sometimes a support worker. The programme is about getting the young people to challenge themselves and get them involved in the local community. They have the opportunity to talk to strangers, make friends, face their fears, and perform a presentation in front of friends and family. It is a very rewarding programme for the young people as well as myself.

Sales Assistant (Part Time)

07-2013 - 11-2016 I held a lot of responsibility as I had manager functions, this meant I could process returns, click and collects, void items and open the till. On a daily basis, I tidied and clean, hung and tagged clothes, replenished stock, used a radio, till and ladder, handled money, provided shoe fittings and generally helped customers. Other duties included stock take, IBT and price change. I had sales targets to meet and received commission on certain items.
