Thales Ground Transportation Systems GTS has a core competency worldwide managing Design, Construction, Systems Integration, Commissioning and Through Life Support across 4 key areas; Main Line Signalling (MLS), Urban Rail Signalling (URS), Revenue Collection Systems (RCS) and Integrated Communications Systems (ICS).

With your sound knowledge in Communication systems you will work with other Systems Engineers to devise, develop and maintain reliable and economically viable solutions to meet the needs of our customers. This position will include an emphasis on Systems Assurance activities.
Key Responsibilities:

· Complete assigned tasks in projects, bids and R&D programs which include conducting requirements analysis, the analysis of alternatives and development of functional and physical solutions, including test or demonstration cases.
· The decomposition of selected architecture into sub-systems and/or elements and the implementation and verification of solutions.
· The production of engineering reports, specification and design documents and verification of architectures and solutions against established requirements.
· Presentation and demonstration of solutions to customer representatives.
· Work within integrated product teams to ensure the successful development and
· implementation of related engineering programs (eg. Installation, EMI/EMC, Safety, Security, Environmental, Production, ILS). Key Skills and Experience :

· Degree in System Engineering or related discipline and hold or be eligible for membership of Engineers Australia.
· Experience deploying one or more large scale Communication solution
· Previous experience of working on Transport project, in the rail corridor will be highly regarded
· Previous Brownfield & Greenfield environment experience

1. This role will require you to work with information covered by the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR)
2. You must be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
