We are currently looking for a Software Engineer – (C#) to join the Thales Avionics, a subsidiary of Thales USA team in Melbourne, FL.

The Software Engineer - (C#) should be experienced working within the Agile (Scrum) methodology. You will work closely with the team members from various departments to develop products that service customers of a global leader in Connectivity and InFlyt Entertainment. Thales products enable hundreds of millions of passengers on 80 + airlines throughout the globe to watch live TV, high-speed Internet browsing, text messaging, cell phone usage (where permitted), and wireless streaming during the flight.

Key Responsibilities:

•Create, enhance, and support web-based business applications, performing front-end development of single page applications (SPAs) utilizing skills such as C#, Python, and JavaScript frameworks.

•The individual will create elegant and intuitive user interfaces.

•Develop stored procedures and database interactions.

•Development of software products by writing, testing, and documenting code (80%)

•Designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting production deployments.

•Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design.

•Maintain security and data privacy.

•Create scalable and high-performance web services for data tracking.

•Test prototypes and oversee handover to operational teams.

•Propose best practices/standards.

•Generate technical requirements and processes (10%)

•Solicit business reporting and analytical requirements from a variety of business departments.

•Consolidate and coordinate requirements to develop reporting or analytical capabilities to address the business need.

•Provide guidance and training to other functional groups as needed (5%).

•Other duties as assigned by Team leader (5%).

Required Skills and Experience:

•Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or equivalent related experience.

•At least three (2) years' experience development in Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS

•At least one (1) years' experience development in C#

•At least two (2) years' experience with SQL Server including Management Studio, creation of SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, tables, and indexes.

•Proficient with Visual Studio.NET software development environment.

•Good aptitude in multi-threading and concurrency concepts.

• Experience working in Aerospace Industry.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

•Experience with other database technologies in addition to Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Sybase.

•Familiarity with networking and network devices in a Linux environment.

•Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
