Industrial Controls Engineer

This role will be based in Reading, Berkshire however there will travel required to customer sites.

Our business is growing and as such we have seen an increase in demand from our customers for Process Control & Automation Engineers and Control Systems Engineering consultants. These roles sit within our ever growing cyber team and you could be working across a number of different industries such as energy, rail and automotive. We are a supplier to Williams F1!

You will help deliver cyber secure services and solutions on a wide range of industrial control systems and architectures.

Your role

· Evaluate critical national infrastructure (CNI) systems of inherent and systemic vulnerabilities, methods of exploitations, and potential impacts
· Solve complex design & architectural challenges to create secure critical infrastructure systems for the CNI market
· Use industry standard risk management methodologies to manage the cyber security risk to legacy and modern systems within critical national infrastructure

Your skills and experience

· Knowledge of Industrial controls protocols – DNP3, Profinet, CANBUS, IEC61850 and IEC60870
· Industrial control architecture – scada, dcs, bms, purdue model
· Proficiency with Linux, Opensource vulnerability assessment toolkits and scripting
· Hands on experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of industrial control systems
· Information Assurance and Risk Management methodologies such as IEC 62443, ISO 27k, and NIST Cyber Security Framework
· The ability to find solutions to difficult or complex issues.
· Proven track record of effective customer engagement
· Flexibility and adaptability – being able to travel
· Experience of working in a cross functional team

Due to the nature of our business and some of the projects that we work on the successful candidate will be required to obtain SC clearance so therefore must be a UK national or be able to obtain SC clearance
