Job Introduction

Due to internal progression our team at Ascot have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced conference and events professional. This role involves managing the business and events operations at the racecourse, from large conferences, parties, private dinners and unique events, this role offers someone the opportunity to run bespoke events at this iconic venue. Outside of the racing calendar there are a variety of prestigious events taking place that you will have the opportunity to manage.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the team within a flagship contract for our Sodexo Sports and Leisure business.

Role Responsibility

In this varied role, you will need to be flexible as your presence at events will be required, you’ll be managing meetings, coordinating teams to ensure the events are set up correctly, ensuring the events looks as the customer expects and the catering requirements are matched. Working with teams across the racecourse you will oversee all aspects of the event, managing a casual workforce and communicating requests to the wider team. Working with the customer, you will ensure all the expectations are met and they have an exceptional event.

Desired profile

The Ideal Candidate

·  Conference, banqueting or events operations experience is essential
·  Experience of diary and cost control
·  Resilience to manage multiple tasks and prioritise importance in terms of operations and planning
·  Experience of a large events
·  Experience in using Microsoft Office
·  Application of an eye for details to all areas of C&E details
·  Willing to work with flexible working hours
