What is the role?

Based in Sydney, we are now actively recruiting a Sales Support Engineer . Reporting to the National Sales Operations Manager you will provide customers with state of the art cost effective pricing / quotes for process automation products, drive systems and software. You will also provide timely quotes to customers and sales teams ensuring correct pricing and correct part numbers. Key responsibilities will include:

· Identify opportunities for process automation products and software orders and handover opportunity to a sales person to progress and close. Look for cross selling and up selling opportunities

· Carry a team quota to drive orders for process automation transaction products, drive systems and software support

· Understand customer control system configuration and provide correct solution for process automation products, solutions

· Develop, assist and maintain sales leads, qualify and include in bFO. Communicate key information on leads and contacts to sales teams

· Additional responsibilities will include working in selected sales opportunities, channel partner manager projects or technical projects

· Passionate on continuous improvements to pricing, quoting and mini proposal process with customer satisfaction and efficiency as goals. Provide insights and ideas for improvements, lead selected mini projects

· Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree

· Ability to understand concept system drawings

· Good understanding of process automation and electrical/mechanical technology and software

· Understand SCADA configuration and be able provide solutions

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to work well with customers and sales teams

· Attention to detail and ensure accuracy

· Prior experience and knowledge of Salesforce.com (bFO) and SAP
