What is the role?

We are now actively recruiting an Advanced Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) Systems Engineer for our Energy Business. The ADMS team is responsible for project delivery and customer support activities for new and existing Smart Grid Automation customers. This is a role within the ADMS team that will encompass project delivery and support services within the project team, with duties to include system design, documentation, deployment, testing and commissioning.

The key responsibilities will include:

Project Responsibilities - project planning; implementation of solutions/projects; documentation; compliance with project quality procedures; Onsite project work and delivery.

Support Responsibilities – managing support tickets and deliver timely and accurate development of resolutions

Technical - Contribute to improving Engineering Capabilities/Processes by sharing knowledge and ideas

Communication & Reporting - Contribute to specifications, functional descriptions, and manuals;

Customer management - Liaise with customers and encourage confidence and repeat business; Manage customer expectations and relationships.

Administration - Perform administrative duties as related to the role.

Health, Safety and the Environment - Complies with company and customer HSE standards and policies

Success in this role will require:

· RTU communications and protocols knowledge, experience and troubleshooting ability. Including DNP3, Modbus, etc

· SCADA knowledge/experience with both SE and other vendors systems. (OASyS knowledge would be an advantage)

· Programming skills (ec C#, C++, VB)

· Database and historian admin and conceptual design skills (eg MSSQL)

· Experience with Advance Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) would be desirable
