JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a candidate for a VIE mission of:
Technical Coordinator – VIE Contract.
The position will be responsible to plan, schedule and coordinate facility, utility and equipment maintenance related activities for the Building 90 (B90) Platform.
The role will work closely with multi-functional teams; B90 management, Technical Services & Engineering, Quality Operation Sterility Assurance, Operational Quality, Water Group and cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) Cleaning Group, to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and adherence to cGMPs and Sanofi Pasteur standards. The Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance of the building(s) and is required to have a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
Key success factor for this position is clear communication and influence of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment; this position is essential for Business continuity and to ensure external Regulatory Inspection requirements are met.
Examples of Maintenance Related Activities include:
- Initiation and prioritization of reactive work orders for safety issues or equipment/ utility/ facility breakdowns
- Preventative Maintenance Planning and scheduling that would adhere to production needs
- Coordination of appropriate personnel and manpower
- Routine Calibrations/ Certifications Planning
- Scheduling of Planned Heating, Ventilating & AC / Power Shutdowns
- Coordination of Facility Renovations/ Re-qualifications
MAJOR RESPONSABILITIES:
Health Safety and Environment:
- Ensures a safe working environment by driving safety initiatives/ improvements and proritizing execution of reactive work orders / projects related to workplace hazards and personnel safety.
Quality:
- Coordinates the scheduling of Preventative Maintenance activities and routine equipment certification/ instrument calibrations in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures and sanofi pasteur policies to ensure Quality standards are met.
- Authorize work Order execution in production.
- Manages technical projects in B90 such as replacement of equipment, building upgrades, system upgrades and assists Engineering department in the associated validation activities.
- Prioritizes facility & equipment related activities related to audit / regulatory observations, and quality notifications.
- Responsible for facility upkeep and performs routine inspections with area leaders and other responsible groups.
- Lead B90 to Manufacturing investigations as required for facility or equipment related quality notifications.
- Ensures GMP documentation/ SAP is up to date with respect to B90 equipment/ systems.
Cost:
- Responsible for the B90 maintenance budget by planning and routinely verifying the cost allocation of technical services activities. Maintains the equipment list of depatments in B90 (SAP registration, assets finance list).
- Incorporate maintenace related acitivites and maintain the production targets.
- Recommend and justify upgrades or replacement of equipment, building services and/or systems and drives the implementation by ensuring these improvements and/or investments are budgeted and effectively implemented.
- Works with the Maintenance & Reliability team to build and maintain a robust and up to date project managment plan for B90 equipment to prevent equipment breakdown and production delays.
- Ensures spare part inventories are maintained and organized in proper storage locations.
Delivery:
- Responsible for timely scheduling and request of work orders with respect to criticality (Priority A/B/C/D) to ensure continuous operations and adherence to the production schedule.
- Responsible for collaborating with Technical services on the shutdown schedule.
Involvement:
- Responsible for effective communication of all maintenance related activities to ensure proper planning and execution.
- Ensures that the various disciplines are aware of responsibilities, are consulted and/or informed.
- Ensures communication of technical information across the 24/7 organization of the B90 Platform.
CANDIDATE'S PROFILE:
- Master of Science Degree or equivalent
- Biotechnology / Engineering with 2 to 5 years of related experience in a face-paced pharma/biotech manufacturing environment.
- Flexible, personable and able to fit into a team (75 people in 6 departments)
- Excellent communications and organisation skills, project management skills
- Strong administration skills, particularly with Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of SAP and knowledge of project management methodologies as a plus
- Technical biopharmaceutical or pharmaceutical background preferred.
