As V&V Automation Test Engineer, you have the opportunity to use exciting new technology to make an impact on the fight against cancer.

Our Products combines sophisticated image analysis of ‘big data' (terabytes of image data) with a straightforward no nonsense workflow to support the day to day job of pathologists, researches and educational users through the use of digital images. This saves clinics/hospitals/universities time and money and improves the way of working within the digital pathology target market.

You are responsible for

·  Configuration, maintenance and management of testing environments
·  Planning and Scheduling the preparation of the Test Plans
·  Analysing User Stories and producing Test Conditions, Expected Results and Data
·  Preparing the Test Execution Schedule
·  Test Execution and capturing of Test Results
·  Defect Logging and re-testing
·  Debugging of Issues - Work closely with the development team to investigate test failures and issues
·  Inputting to test meetings and signing off reports (Test Workshops/ Status Updates/ Test Reviews)
·  Inputting to Test Completion Reports
·  Contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of automation suites
·  Escalating to the Service Manager any issue that may impact on the delivery of testing on time, on budget or to the required quality standard.

The V&V Automation Test Engineer will report directly to the V&V Lead and will be based in the Northern Ireland Science Park in Belfast.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

·  Software Engineering or Computer sciences (or anything else related to software development)
·  A minimum of 1 years' experience within a test automation role
·  Experience of testing commercial software products within an agile environment
·  Experience in test script writing and automation, with desirable knowledge of Cucumber, Watir or Selenium Webdriver, Ruby, RSpec, PageObject design pattern
·  Experience in analysing requirements, writing, coding, maintaining and executing test cases
·  Exposure to Web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, XML and Web APIs & services)
·  Knowledge of software development life cycle and can demonstrate technical understanding, development skills and interpersonal qualities that this role requires
·  A quick learner who is looking for new challenges and responsibilities in an innovative software company
·  Hard working, disciplined, self-motivated and focused. Show initiative and autonomy
·  Common sense and a practical approach
·  Enthusiastic and flexible within the working environment
·  Eligible to work in the UK

The following skills are desirable but not essential:

·  Strong software development skills and experience of building software applications from initial specification to final deployment and acceptance
·  Experience using database management systems including database design, development and SQL programming
·  Knowledge of the Ruby coding language
·  3 years' experience within a software automation testing role
