YES! for all the above, then the Office User Lifecycle team is for you!   Our team is a relatively new team in Office whose mission is to grow the Office business by building strong onboarding and engagement features across the Office suite and the Office ecosystem. In the past, the team has shipped some great products and features to hundreds of million desktops, delivered features into hosted Office, and built an innovative platform to deliver Service driven UI; in native apps. Our team is heavily invested in building personalization and Service driven UI platforms to deliver next set of experiences for our customers.  

Responsibilities:  

•      As a Software Engineer on the team you will be getting in on the ground floor and be working in a fast-paced environment innovating, designing and coding features.

•      You will be working across Office and other Microsoft code bases and developing features on a breadth of platform and services (Windows/Windows Phone, IOS, Android, Web Services, etc.).

•      You will be partnering with multiple teams including the Core Office App teams, Office Shared Teams and Marketing teams to help deliver high value engagement features as well as working with Data Scientists for success measurement.  

Some key responsibilities will be:  

•      Lead efforts in building engagement experiences across the Office apps and different end points.

•      Make key technology and design decisions to deliver a fast, secure and a well hypothesized experiment to increase the engagement with office apps.  

•      Measure success and productize the experiments as features.

•      Partner with core Apps teams, Marketing teams and Data Scientists/Analysts.  

•      Expand the service driven engagement platform for other Office teams.  

Preferred Qualifications:  

•      BS or higher degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field with 6+ months of experience as a software developer.  

•      An ideal candidate would have:

•      Experience in developing, designing, and shipping high quality code across multiple platforms/services.

•      Experience with C++ and Web technologies preferred

•      Great communication and collaboration skills.

•      Previous experimentation and data analysis experience would be a plus.

•      Passion for new technologies and ability to quickly understand and pick up emerging technologies and applications.  

Basic Qualifications:

•      3+ years of experience as a software developer.
