We are actively seeking candidates for Assistant General Manager (Operation Manager) positions within our company. Applicants should have a minimum of two years of experience in a similar role. Experienced Assistant General Managers or Front Office Managers or Supervisors with at least two years + Hilton, Hyatt, Marriott, Starwood, Choice or IHG experience who are looking to take the next step in their hotel management career are also welcome to apply.

Responsibilities include:

·  Oversees overall day-to-day hotel operations as delegated by the General Manager.
·  Generates through proper supervision of assigned departments projected revenue levels as well as guest satisfaction.
·  Participates in the development of financial and operational plans for the hotel.
·  Ensures that guest satisfaction is consistently obtained.
·  Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Housekeeping and Front Office Departments.
·  Maintains company standards in all Food and Beverage outlets.
·  Ensures security for the hotels assets.
·  Remains current on business trends and local activities.
·  Meets assigned departmental budgets and monitors financial statements.
·  Establishes and maintains an appropriate level of community involvement.
·  Ensures proper handling of guest complaints.
·  Assists in the development of new programs which result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
·  Maintains compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations.
·  Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
·  Ensures cross-selling of other Shamin Hotels by hotel staff.

Job Requirements:

·  Associate or Bachelors degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business Administration, Finance or related major preferred or the equivalent work experience.
·  Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity within a hotel environment.
·  Marriott experience preferred for this assignment.
·  Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be able to clearly articulate ideas to a diverse audience of guests, associates, management and vendors.
·  Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet hotel needs that include nights, weekends and holidays and be on-call as needed as the hotel operates 24 hours per day, non-stop year long.
·  Must be available on call when away from work.
·  Must be computer literate and possess a solid command of all Microsoft Office applications and brand systems.
·  Have a working knowledge of the maintenance and operating procedures of all departmental equipment.
·  Special consideration will be given to those that exhibit exemplary performance in a similar position.
