Qualifications :

Apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity for you to earn whilst you learn. At the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott we're looking for a driven, talented individual with an eagerness to learn who would like to train as an Apprentice Painter and Decorator. As a building with a lot of history and character as you can imagine there is a lot of maintenance required to keep the building look as beautiful as the location. Our team are committed to providing exceptional service to our hotel and our guests.

Your Key Responsibilities

The apprenticeship will be based primarily around painting and decorating, nonetheless the successful candidate will have opportunity to carry out other maintenance duties therefore the candidate must have an aptitude for minor engineering work.

Working at a hotel with a lot of history and character.

Painting and decorating of interior and exterior walls.

Respond to guest repair requests

Offer a customer focused service.

Perform minor repairs on tools, kitchen, plumbing and mechanical room equipment.

Ensure Health & Safety is adhered to at all times.

Report to the management team on all service, staff and quality issues.

Uphold Marriott's image and reputation

Hours of Work

The successful applicant will be contracted to work 40 hours over 5 days

(this includes 1 day at College).

The successful Painter and Decorator Apprentice will be expected to attend College 1 day per week

in order to achieve their relevant qualification.
