Job description

The Kuehne + Nagel US Customs Brokerage team is looking for a Business Analyst/Application Support Specialist. This person will be required to plan, design, develop, analyze and support Customs Brokerage business solutions for our internal and external business partners. This person will also be involved in daily application support and user acceptance testing.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Organize all involved Stakeholders, clearly defining roles and expectations.
• Review US Customs Brokerage business solution requirements with internal and external business partners to clearly define project scope and level of effort.
• Work with the corporate team to assess level of effort and business priority to schedule the required work and allocate the required resources.
• Work with the technical team to design the business solution.
• Create documentation which defines the business solution requirements and the intended solution. This includes technical specifications and logical mappings.
• Manage technical resources and track project status throughout the development cycle, keeping all stakeholders fully informed and engaged.
• Work with the technical team to test the business solution and address all issues
• Work with the end user teams to implement the solution and support all post production issues.
• Maintain documentation throughout the life cycle of the business solution, managing all required changes/enhancements.
• Work a support ticketing queue with other Corporate Brokerage team members
• Troubleshoot user issues
• Provide written instruction to field users on new/existing functionality
• Develop and distribute training material (manuals/tutorials) on new/existing functionality.
• Identify, document and report Application defects to the development team.
• Performing user acceptance testing to validate Application updates.

• 1-2 years Project Management experience preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Understand VBA code to manipulate the Excel object model
Web-related Technologies
• Use JIRA and Confluence
XML Technologies
• Modify the structure in an XML schema
• Modify various possible constraints in an XML schema
• Tailor an existing XML stylesheet to meet the demands of a similar target document
Software Development
• Create various diagrams, e.g., flowcharts, swimlanes, activity, etc.
Microsoft Access
• Create simple INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE queries using the GUI
• Create complex SELECT queries using subqueries and aggregate functions
• Create tables and relationships to achieve a normalized database (third normal form)
• Understand VBA code to manipulate the Access object model
SQL
• Understand DB2 SQL or read SQL syntax diagrams

• 1-2 years Project Management experience preferred
• 1-2 years experience with H.B. Uhlrich/4Soft Customs Brokerage application processing Customs entries
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Write documents in Markdown and use tools to convert Markdown to HTML
