Every minute of every day, thousands of parts and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be utilised on our production lines within hours. At the same time, hundreds of customers from across the globe are handed the keys to their newly transported vehicles. A feat like this doesn’t just happen. Behind this momentous undertaking are our Material Planning & Logistics (MP&L) team, coordinating on a massive scale to ensure our vehicles continue to roll smoothly off the production lines and into the hands of the customers awaiting them.

International packaging is an integral part of the International freight and packaging team, which provides safe robust packaging processes for the supply chain to ensure that production volumes can be achieved for all non-UK vehicle manufacturing sites. The International Packaging Team lead the design of packaging to support new model launches worldwide.

With responsibility for analysing supply chain data, developing process improvements and managing change, the International Packaging Supervisor will play a vital role in helping the International freight and packaging department achieve budgetary and operational objectives to support Jaguar Land Rover’s plans for increased volume, product range and globalisation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

In your role as Packaging Supervisor you'll have experience of project managing a programme and managing a small team in order to meet tight timescales. You'll be able to demonstrate knowledge of automotive supply chains and work closely with tier 1 and 2 suppliers and co-ordinate buy off with multiple stakeholders. Along with these skills you'll be able to work independently, manage priorities and be able to analyse large Microsoft Excel data sets and provide detailed reports on packaging and freight KPIs. Experience of packaging would be highly desirable along with a process driven and enthusiastic and flexible mind set.
