LOCATION: Gaydon, Warwickshire

WHAT TO EXPECT

Here, you’ll design, develop and shape the future of our electronic systems by helping us find visionary developments in everything from hybrid vehicles and infotainment to advanced electronic systems integration and electrics.

Jaguar Land Rover has an internal functional safety process compliant with ISO 26262 which is applied to all the software-based control units on the vehicle, such as powertrain, chassis systems, body systems, electrical and ADAS. The deployment of this process is supported by a number of specialist Functional Safety Engineers. As one of them, you’ll ensure successful deployment of the process working across all functional and organisational boundaries. This role will demand a passion for safety, attention to detail and a willingness to “go the extra mile” in order to ensure that a safe product is delivered according to schedule.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To succeed, you’ll come to this role with previous experience in system (item) definition as well as hazard and risk assessment. In addition, you’ll have experience in the creation of functional safety concepts and safety requirements, system integration and safety validation, and it is likely that you’ll have delivered a technology in an automotive or equivalent embedded environment.
