WHAT TO EXPECT

In this workshop-based craft role, you’ll work within Prototype Build Operations, and you'll be responsible for the construction of prototypes to enable vehicle and Rig Testing to be conducted during the vehicle development programme.

 

We’ll expect you to conduct modifications and repairs, and undertake electrical measurements and inspections of vehicle networks, systems and components. Providing comprehensive technical feedback, fault identification and problem diagnosis using diagnostic equipment, you’ll also install updated ECU software, calibrate electronic vehicle control systems and support general mechanical vehicle fitting activities.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

Your qualifications should be Level 3 C&G, NVQ or IMI in Auto Electrical disciplines, Light Motor Vehicle Maintenance or similar, with a supporting accredited apprenticeship. In addition to being PC literate, we’ll also expect you to be capable of using diagnostic tools to analyse electrical faults.

 

You’ll need a strong level of experience working on electrical and mechanical components of modern light motor vehicles, you’ll also have good working knowledge of the manufacture of vehicle wiring harnesses. You’ll have a flexible approach to your work to accomodate our ever-expanding business.
