As a systems engineer in the Signals, Algorithms & Systems group in Wireless Communications Research Lab Intel Labs, the candidate will be develop advanced signal processing & machine learning algorithms for IoT sensing systems.The candidate will: Perform literature survey, identify and investigate state-of-the-art image/signal processing techniques & machine learning methods for applications in IoT sensing systemsApply / develop innovative approaches for feature extraction, noise cancellation, parameter estimation using signal processing and machine learning techniques.Mathematically model systems/processes/phenomenon and develop algorithms and benchmark their performance with state-of-the-artTranslate algorithms into efficient source code for client platforms Windows/Linux and embedded systems C-code and develop/debug embedded system software.Model system performance e.g. power savings, accuracy, computational load etc. & perform sensitivity analysis for different IoT system configuration & hardware architecturesGenerate using statistical models and synthetic datasets in MATLAB for different IoT applicationsDevelop proof-of-concept algorithms/application software/systems by integrating off-the-shelf componentsBe comfortable reviewing complex technical papers e.g. IEEE Transactions and algorithms and translate the same into working source code for performance evaluationFile patents and publish papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferencesHave the ability to ramp up quickly in adjacent application domains e.g. Automotive, industrial IoT, autonomous computing, etc..Be conversant with Software Legal Compliance and SDLC.
