We are looking for a Front-End Software Developer to join our Cloud Innovation Lab team in Austin, TX . Someone who innovates & shares our passion for winning in the cloud marketplace. The Cloud Innovation Lab is a team dedicated to ensuring that the IBM Cloud is at the forefront of cloud technology, from data center design to network architecture to storage and compute clusters to flexible infrastructure services. We are building IBM's next generation cloud platform to deliver performance and predictability for our customers' most demanding workloads, at global scale and with leadership efficiency, resiliency and security. It is an exciting time, and as a team we are driven by this incredible opportunity to thrill our clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for design, implementation and testing of various cloud infrastructure UI components. Daily responsibilities will also include:
·  UI/UX development in an agile environment
·  Testing with mock ups
·  Participation in daily scrum meetings
·  Participation in sprint retrospectives and playbacks
·  Following best practices for HTML and CSS
·  Team-based development
·  Writing code with secure practices (xss, session management, etc.)
·  Writing tests in test-driven/test-first mode
·  Use of DevOps practices and tools Candidates should be comfortable with team-based development, understand and apply functional programing practices, have the ability to obtain requirements and write user stories, strive to improve code coverage and lint standards.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Minimum of 3 years' experience with UI development using various UI frameworks (such as nodejs and es6)
·  Minimum of 1 year experience testing with mock ups
·  Minimum of 2 years' experience with service-oriented architecture and API's
·  Minimum of 2 years' experience with GitHub or equivalent code management system
·  Minimum of 2 years' experience with Linux
