About GBS- As part of the rapidly growing consulting market, IBM's Global Business Services (GBS) delivers innovative business consulting, process design, systems integration, application design and management.

Who you are:

·  You will use the latest tools and technologies available to deliver state-of-the-art software utilising the Java language – with particular focus on front-end applications and the use of Apple, Swing, JSP etc.
·  You will be responsible for ensuring that company software components are expertly designed, developed, tested, debugged, verified, and ready for integration into IBM's best-of-breed solutions that help organizations improve their business outcomes in the global marketplace.
·  You may also be involved in software support.

What you'll do:

·  You may be required to design, develop and/or re-engineer highly complex application components, and integrate software packages, programs and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms.
·  Analyze customer requirement; perform all programming functions to accomplish specific software solution requirements; design (or modify) systems to accomplish functions in compliance with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework
·  Verify the accuracy and validity of all software developed, including preparations of sample test data and the execution of program, job stream, and system testing
·  Prepare all required documentation indicating system functionality

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  At least 2 years experience in performing complex analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation and performing as a technical resource or developer;
·  Ability to develop applications based on Java/J2EE technology stack using Java as the programming language.
