We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Assistant Manager, Mortgage Specialist (Penang Branch).

Principal Responsibilities
· Responsible for all the Mortgage and Premier referral sales activities at branches and to manage the mortgage specialist sales force.
· To achieve the assigned team min standards and ultimately contributing towards the mobile sales team and branch's bottom line, whilst maintaining own selling/cross-selling skills in order to confidently coach and counsel members of the sales team.
· To develop sales plans which are corresponds to RBWM business and ensures effective implementation of business strategies to maximize profitability and attainment of strategic and operating objectives.
· Actively participate in the Sales Floor to engage customers and staff for effective supervision and to lead the sales and service floor by setting an example.
· Continually monitoring the team's actual performance against plan, and keeping the manager regularly informed of the progress.
· To maintain HSBC internal control standards or ensure high standard of operational efficiency in the branch.

Qualifications :

Requirements
·  A university degree is preferred for this role as it involves analytical capacity and quick and measured responses on a daily basis
·  At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a financial institution with relevant experience in managing a sales team
·  Good knowledge and experience in Retail Banking Products (ie. Mortgages, Cards & Personal Loans)
·  At least 1 to 2 years in a sales leadership role managing sales team performance with experience in providing a high service standard
·  Strong problems solving skills is key to the role
·  Excellent commercial acumen, leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills
·  Must be able to make independent decisions with minimal supervision
