HSBC Amanah Takaful (INMY) leverages the HSBC Group's international experience and expertise in Islamic finance to offer a wide range of innovative and accessible Family Solidarity and General Takaful products to both consumers and corporate customers throughout Malaysia.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Amanah Takaful team in the role of Assistant Manager Financial Accounting & Reporting.

Principal responsibilities
Investment – Back End
· Daily investment-linked funds' Net Asset Value (NAV)/pricing computation, publication and update into system
· Monthly investment schedules for accounting of all investments and investment-linked funds
· All investment reports for internal and group
· Annual fund performance review for investment-linked funds
· Monthly GL reconciliation against investment schedules and custodians' statements
· Ensure effectiveness of internal controls for investments back office function
· Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for investment back office function
· Main liaison for internal, group and external audit for investment
· Local Compliance Representative for investments
· Risk Coordinator for investments
· Ensure compliance with investment policy and mandates
Reporting
· Execution of Financial Results as at month end reporting.
· Review accounting policies and accounting treatment to be in line with IFRS
· Plan, direct, execute and supervise the reporting to Group via Saracen
· Driving internal control, financial controls and process improvements – assessing control and risk issues in an efficient and effective manner using appropriate tools and techniques.
· Provide support for system changes and enhancements to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of the accounting and reporting functions

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Requirements
·  Degree Holder in Finance/Accounting or related fields
·  Experience in investment management function within an insurer or Takaful operator preferred
·  Experience in fund/asset management companies related to insurance or Takaful operator investments can be considered
·  Chartered Financial Analyst qualifications preferred
·  Accounting professional qualification an added advantage
