Role Summary/Purpose
Responsible for all aspects of supplier, process, product, and customer
quality for one to many blade types within a facility; acts as sole customer
quality contact concerning quality issues of specific blades; responsible for
continuous improvement activities related to the Quality Management System and
its associated procedures/process; provides direction and leadership to Quality
and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technicians
Essential Responsibilities
· Engage in work instruction compliance and manage
audits to reduce defects and prevent customer dissatisfaction
· Support daily production and contribute actively
· Provide training to process owners on their
responsibilities and tasks relating to the quality management system and
procedures
· Contribute and continuous improvement activities
through use of quality data
· Improve processes through use of statistical tools
such as SPC, Gage R&R, DOE, etc.
· Act as a company contact for customer issues relating
to product quality escapements
· Investigate and resolve customer complaints and audit
findings - comply with customer requirements
· Perform internal audits and participate in external
audits including Global, MFG process, FAI, customer and third party audits
· Drive the implementation of corrective and preventive
actions for product, process, supplier, customer nonconformities and ensure
effective resolution through 8-Discipline methodology
· Review quality performance regularly. Highlight issues
and drive for improvements and solutions
· Create new and modify existing plant documents and
procedures related to the quality system
· Drive on time data registration through the relevant
production and quality employees
· Complete relevant quality reports. Ensure
information flow to top management is clearly defined and executed
· Translate quality changes, inform the relevant
departments and track the performance
· Ensure the execution, follow-up and communication to
management of internal system audits for Business Unit (BU)
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or Associates Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing capacity.
