Job description

ENGIE are recruiting for a Business Development Analyst to be based in London. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week 08:30 to 17:00 Monday to Friday. On offer is a competitive salary.


The development Analyst will be required to :

·  Assist with the expansion of our district energy schemes from initial contact with potential customers to early operational period, working closely with the Operations, Projects, Legal and Commercial teams
·  Assist with the undertaking of district energy and related consultancy services (including engineering feasibility and commercial viability studies) as a means of developing relationships and projects, with support from the Project Engineering team
The role includes the following duties and responsibilities :

·  Assistance with the expansion and improvement of our existing district energy schemes
·  Carry out marketing activities and identify potential new customers
·  Technical and commercial development of detailed proposals for new schemes and interfacing with resources from other parts of energy services (engineering, finance etc.)
·  Concept design development
·  Operational and financial modelling
·  Analysis of low carbon technologies 
·  Assistance with the co-ordination of development activities relating to our existing district energy schemes
·  Maintaining and further developing business development processes
·  Keeping up to date with policy changes and their influence on the business
·  Develop and maintain relevant case studies
·  Maintain up to date library of proposals, standard responses to queries etc.
Specific Objectives (Annual)

·  These will be agreed in advance and subject to review through the year to support the business and the individual’s career progression.

Essential skills :

·  Ability to interpret legal and technical agreements, extrapolate data and understand complex deliverables
·  Ability to work / interface with a range of internal and external teams 
·  Excellent literacy skills and demonstrable delivery of high quality written reports and proposals
·  Presentation skills
·  Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
·  Basic knowledge of AutoCAD
Desirable :

Essential:  

·  Degree qualified in engineering, accountancy, business studies or marketing
·  Background or interest in energy issues
·  Experience of commercial contracts
·  Commercial and business knowledge ideally within the energy industry

Desirable :

·  Project management experience in the engineering sector
·  Technical knowledge of district energy
