Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (Full-Time)

As a Ledger Services Controller you will be responsible for processing, paying and reconciling supplier transactions promptly and accurately and in accordance with agreed standards, scheme of delegation and payment terms. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include:

To actively manage supplier debt in accordance with agreed terms, policies & procedures
To promptly resolve queries as to maintain continuation of supply & maximise the benefits available from prompt settlement discount
To develop & maintain effective working relationships with suppliers & internal stakeholders
To process, reconcile & pay supplier invoices in accordance with agreed standards
Ensure the integrity of supplier accounts
Provide accurate & timely information on the status of supplier accounts to inform business decisions, identify & escalate issues & manage supplier expectations
Provide cover to other members of theteam as & when required
Maintain process & controls to ensure transactions are recorded accurately, timely & in accordance with agreed accounting standards
Develop functional understanding of systems, processes & controls to effectively perform the role
Develop commercial awareness & capability to proactively manage supplier relationships in accordance with agreed guidelines

Desired profile

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

Experience of processing & handling large volumes of data
Reconciliation of accounts with a high volume of transactions
Effective problem evaluation & resolution skills
Developing & maintaining effective supplier relationships
Oracle experience (Desirable)
Strong numeric & analytical skills
Strong communication, negotiating & influencing skills
Vast experience in a ledger services environment
