Overview:
As Function Development and Safety Engineer (FDaSE) in Function Development and Vehicle Integration you will work as a team member within a global engineering environment on the development of Vehicle Dynamics Control functions (Stability & Agility and Driving & Assistance) of state­of­the­art Electronic Brake & safety Systems. You will be responsible for project specific definition and creation of functional requirements, development of the functional architecture and safety concept and SW setup and testing in simulation environment and vehicle.

Core Responsibilities:
­- Defines and creates functional system & safety requirements on vehicle level.
­- Develops the functional architecture, describes the interfaces, defines functional blocks.
­- Creates the function specific safety concept.
­- Elicitation of customer specific requirements.
­- Creates traceability between requirements and functional architecture.
­- SW setup and testing in simulation environment (SIL/HIL) and vehicle.
­- Creates prototypical software.
­- Creates and executes test specifications and documents test results.
­- Plans, executes and documents project specific development & release activities on vehicle level.
­- Interface with customer (OEM).
­- Interface with departmental personnel in resolution of development issues from above.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:
­- Bachelors Degree in Engineering discipline.
­- Knowledge and Experience in the requirements engineering discipline incl. tools.
­- Experience in the evaluation of architectures and architecture principles.
­- Understanding of use, boundary conditions and fields of application of systems.
­- Understanding of standard SW and standard HW and their interfaces.
­- Understanding of development methods and tools.
­- Systematic approach and problem solving skills.
­- Capability of abstraction.
­- Ability to recognize dependencies and weaknesses and risk
­- Ability to communicate with developers, function experts and users
­- Team player with strong focus on quality and customer orientation
­- Self­-dependent with a high degree of passion, dedication and commitment

Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Automotive Engineering experience.
­- Degree in Engineering discipline with focus on automotive engineering.
­- Ability to travel.
­- Valid Drivers License.
­- Basic knowledge in data acquisition & vehicle BUS systems.
­- Basic Knowledge in Matlab/Simulink.
­- Basic Knowledge in Simulation HW & SW (HIL/SIL, CarSim/Carmaker).
­- Experience within development of vehicle dynamics, chassis or brakes.
