Position Description
We’re currently seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. The successful individual will be responsible for partnering with members of the business to source, identify and hire individuals within the Information Technology sector, specifically focusing on resources that offer IT and SAP related experience. Your future duties and responsibilities
Your future duties and responsibilities Would Include:
• Build relationships and develop social networks of highly skilled professionals while projecting a professional image at all times
• Full cycle recruitment (sourcing, screening, candidate assessments, interviews, offer negotiations) for full time and contract opportunities nationally
• Devise and implement a comprehensive recruitment and sourcing strategy to identify potential candidates from referrals, cold calls, social media, conferences and trade shows, referrals, professional organizations, market research and other related channels.
• Regularly contribute to the development of new concepts and techniques to acquire critical talent for the assigned business areas.
• Manage active candidates throughout the recruitment process through effective communication to ensure a positive candidate experience.
• Maintain talent pipelines through ongoing, targeted communication to stay in contact with potential candidates who have experience that aligns with current and future business requirements.
• Identify and present a diverse candidate slate to support business diversity and inclusion efforts
• Coordinate face to face interviews with short listed candidates with hiring managers
• Attend weekly meetings to strategize on current or proactive recruitment efforts.
• Represent CGI at career fairs and other networking functions
• Prepare and post job postings/advertisements as required
• Promote and support the Employee Referral Program
• Responsible for data management and integrity within the applicant tracking system and other HR systems, ensuring consistency and competency in human resources processes, including compliance with provincial and legal requirements and CGI’s corporate standards. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Three to five years of experience recruiting for information technology with a specific focus on SAP technology skilled professionals in a high volume environment
• Previous agency and corporate recruitment experience would be ideal
• Demonstrated success in recruiting hard-to-find resources
• Familiarity with using Social Media, Boolean searches, innovative resources and on line tools for sourcing candidates
• Proven ability to take initiative and look beyond current role openings and identify a pipeline of talent
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with internal/external clients.
• Team player with excellent organizational skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Familiarity with using NJOYN or similar application tracking system
• Ability to prioritize job responsibilities and manage high volumes of information effectively.
