Based in Kingston, Ontario you will be involved in all bids and projects. You will carry out any analyses/studies required within power supply and distribution system. You will be capable to analyze, interpret and write a report on any analyses you perform. You will be able to prepare technical specifications for power supply and distribution system.

In your role you will:

- Perform load flow analysis and energy consumption calculation for all bids & projects;
- Conduct short circuit analysis, harmonic analysis, power factor & protection coordination studies for all projects;
- Analyze results and create reports;
- Analyze system requirements and client specification to establish functionality and performance of power supply and Distribution system;
- Prepare specification for the design, supply and installation of the PS&D system.

Desired profile

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering combined with solid foundation in electrical engineering design principles;
- You have a minimum of two (2) years of experience working experience in the field of Traction and power supply (Traction DC and AC).
- Your experience in railway industry will be considered as a strong asset;
- You are knowledgeable in general power system engineering, including design;
- You are comfortable with both Electrical Engineering theory and practical problem solving;
- Your knowledge of the following simulation tools is an asset; PSCAD/EMTDC and Easy Power
- You own knowledge of international standards IEC, BS, EN;
- Your written and spoken English communication skills are excellent.
