Based in Waterloo, Ontario, as part of the Product Introduction team, you will support in engineering, commissioning and technical issue aspects of Product Introduction (PI) activities for the Toronto Rocket project. You will participate in problem solving by analyzing causes of equipment failures and troubleshooting the subway cars. You will also work on specific technical issues arising during the introduction of the cars on the TTC network. As a part of the team you will be in direct contact with the PI team, the engineering teams in St-Bruno and Thunder Bay. You also will participate in tasks which ensure the reliability performance of the subway cars is meeting or exceeding requirements.

In your role you will:

- Execute Commissioning and Routine Testing activities;
- Be the liaison with the Technical cell group based in Toronto, and also the engineering groups based in St-Bruno and Thunder Bay for issues arising from these activities;
- Assist Technical Cell in Reliability growth: analyze failure trends and find root cause of the failures for all systems;
- Support the Technical Cell to support PI team / participate to problem investigations, analyze causes of equipment failures, troubleshoot, provide training, etc;
- Help the Technical Cell to support PI team, with technical advice, on all daily commissioning activities;
- Assist the Technical Cell to perform / assist qualification testing activities: execute test and issue test report.

Desired profile

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate:

- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
- You hold a Professional Engineering (PEng) Designation ;
- You cumulate three to five (3-5) years of experience in in field service and support;
- You possess a background in basic engineering principles, test instrumentation and best troubleshooting practices;
- You possess experience working on systems such as: HVAC, doors, propulsion etc;
- Your English communication skills are excellent both written and spoken;
- Your knowledge of the French language will be considered an asset.
