Systems Engineer

Would you like to work for one of the world's largest and innovative defence companies? We currently have a number of vacancies for Systems Engineers at our site in Rochester.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be working as part of a team of highly experienced, passionate and innovative engineers creating world-leading control and display systems. Systems include: head up displays, helmet mounted displays, flight control systems, active inceptor systems and mission systems.

This role will provide you with the rare opportunity to work on and develop a series of products that will be utilised on board commercial and military platforms. You will be fully supported in developing your systems engineering career, with the chance for excellent career progression opportunities in the future.

Your main responsibilities as a Systems Engineer will involve:

Understanding our customers' challenging needs and specifying their requirements

Developing complex system architectures and sub-systems to satisfy customer needs

Integrating electronic, mechanical and software sub-systems to provide a fully operating system

Verifying that customer needs will be consistently satisfied in varying and hostile environmental conditions

Your skills and qualifications as a Systems Engineer :

Essential:

Degree or equivalent in a Scientific/Engineering subject such as: Systems, Electronic or Software Engineering, Physics or Maths (with some engineering application)

Theoretical or practical engineering skills and knowledge

Desirable:

Practical experience within an engineering role
