ARM is looking for a talented and enthusiastic graduate with the ambition to take a crucial role in the data science group of our TSG Engineering Analytics Team.

The ARM Technology Services Group (TSG) is responsible for ensuring that we have a solid understanding of both the ARM engineering infrastructure and the ARM engineering workflows that run on top of it. It does this by applying a mixture of Data Science, Data Engineering and Data Visualisation disciplines to a variety of complex engineering problems.
You will be someone with a keen interest in data science and who is able to quickly integrate into our dedicated and highly skilled group of professionals.

What you’ll be doing
This is a permanent position, but to fast-track your development you will enter a 2-year program working within a multidisciplinary data science team. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, performing statistical analysis and extracting actionable knowledge from high-dimensional engineering data.

Your responsibilities will include:

·  Working in the data science team to invent, prototype and deploy solutions to complex engineering data problems (data analysis)
·  Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of different types of data
·  Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant to the problem at hand
·  Validating and tracking performance of deployed models

Job Requirements

Required Skills

·  Ability to rapidly prototype and deploy solutions in Python
·  Proficiency in gathering, cleansing and manipulating data
·  Data-oriented personality and excellent communication skills
·  Applied statistics skills, such as sampling, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, clustering, etc.
·  Interest and endurance in tackling diverse data problems
·  A good university degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, bioinformatics or engineering, whereas also other science related graduates are encouraged to apply if they have the relevant experience
Preferred Skills

·  Ability to use data science tools and languages, including Python, R, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Azure ML, NLTK, networkx, pandas, scipy, etc
·  Ability to develop and deploy web-apps (Flask, Django, Javascript, Docker, etc)
·  Working knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau, D3.js, etc.
·  Enthusiasm in producing graphically appealing, if relevant interactive, presentation of results
·  Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, Spark, etc.
·  Good understanding of software development workflow, such as Git usage, unit testing, etc. What does ARM’s recruitment process involve for Early Careers?
