Summary of the role
This position will be part of a global organization known as Global Business Services but under the Workplace Technology Solutions (WTS) umbrella. Within WTS, the system and network architect will be part of a sub-department unit: Workplace Access (WAS). Primary role is to support and develop GBS mobile applications. Secondary role is to support the Enterprise Management of smartphones and tablets; contribute to the Architecture, Design and Implementation of a new Microsoft technology based Enterprise Mobility Management system; continuous security enhancements for the existing MobileIron Enterprise Mobility Management platform.

Main responsibilities

• Participate to mobile application development for iOS platform
• Identify and investigate on new frameworks.
• Interface with lead app development team to serve as a best-practice guidance contact for in-house development and deployment projects

Participate in the research, architecture, analysis/design, implementation and deployment of secure, HIPPA-compliant, auditable mobility solutions for content access management, VPN (device/app tunnelling), secure email and collaboration
• Life cycle management of policies and procedures for mobile devices
• Handling of EMM related incident and problem management
• Analysis of the competitive landscape and current market trends on an ongoing basis
• Writing of thought papers, point of view documents, implementation plans and best practices

Enterprise Mobility escalation point within the line organization for resolution of issues by coordinating appropriate resources to ensure timely resolution
• Escalation with solutions providers (MobileIron, Ebf/Telekom, Microsoft, Wandera, IBM/Lotus)

Requirements

Education: Bachelor Degree or Higher in IT, Computer Science/ Engineer

Relevant work experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in application development on Java/C/C++ or ideally in Swift/Objective C

• Working knowledge of iOS mobile platform
• Working knowledge of object programming, design pattern and development best practices
• Working knowledge of development/quality tools (Maven, Git, Sonar/Jenkins, XCodeServer, …)

Business understanding:

Knowledge of IT mobility industry trends
