Description of the job
The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) program is an international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.
We are looking for highly motivated graduates aged 18 to 28 years, who are citizens of the European Union (all E.U. nationals, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). The department:
Manage customs regulations at both national and international level and ensures customs optimization.
Ensure customs compliance in all relevant worldwide legislations, with the aim of preparing or supervising the customs declarations to be filed to the respective customs administrations.
Performs customs management by securing customs procedures, maintaining customs network, creating schemes in order to optimize the group's customs duty savings, mitigating risks related to customs matters, defending customs position externally (e.g. towards customs administrations) and advising other business functions (commercial, procurement, transport & supply
chain...) in respect of all customs implications.
Tasks
Roles & responsibilities:
- Improve data quality
- Process improvements
- Project management through to implementation
- Using the current customs IT systems, develop the export activity to meet all regulatory requirements
Skills
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and competencies:
- Experience of or interest in International Trade
- Prior knowledge of Customs advantageous
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office
- SAP knowledge would be useful
- Interpersonal skills are essential due to the high level of interaction with people
- Ability to communication with people at all levels
- Good organisational skills
- Pro-active approach to problem solving.
- Ability to work independently
- Negotiation level English (French, German or Spanish would be an advantage)
