We are currently recruiting a number of experienced Production Operatives on behalf our well established client The largest manufacturer of steel reinforcement in the UK based in Cardiff.
Key Accountabilities :
*Operate machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions.
Working in a busy manufacturing, heavy industry environment Operating machinery and overhead cranes
*Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products.
*Maintain accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analysed.
*Monitor the volume and quality of output and adjust tasks, timing, equipment set-up, or inputs so that production specifications are met and resources are used efficiently.
*Train workers in the organisation's operating procedures and standards. Provide guidance and supervision for new entrants.
*Undertake rigorous investigatory reports for defective actions/situations where appropriate.
*Work collaboratively with other team members and shifts to ensure effective running of the process.
*Work in a safe manner and have a proactive approach to all Health & Safety and environmental issues.
*Promote/support Total Quality Management and Continuous Improvement activities in the area.
*Adapt /adopt the new methods of working and/or new technology the Company introduces and undergo training as the Company directs.
-Manufacturing experience - Production , Operating Machinery, Heavy Industry or steel a strong advantage
-Experience of manual work
