Job description
Key tasks
• Inspects the kitchen, dish washing area and staff canteen regularly.
• Ensures that the premises and equipment are cleaned and in order.
• Supervises the Stewarding employees on their work performance.
• Inspects all machines to ensure that they are in good working condition.
• Inspects all chemical use and stocks.
• Ensures the silverware, chinaware and glassware are properly stored. Maintains the quality of all silverware.
• Checks the attendance of the Stewarding staff.
• Assists the Stewarding staff as and when necessary.
• Assists in training of staff.
• Implements all cleaning schedules and other work programs.
• Maximizes the productivity of staff.
• Controls all floor operating items and equipment.
• Assigns tasks to the night cleaners and inspects the completed tasks to ensure compliance with the standards of the hotel.
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Management.
