Buyer Planner
Job Summary
As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the performance of a portfolio of suppliers in regards to on time deliveries and PO Creation. You will assist the buyer, located in Montreal Canada, with managing a just in time procurement environment with; scheduling, planning and ordering Indirect Parts within a SAP information system.
You represent part of an entire Operational Activity for client.
Key Responsibilities
• • Analyze Requisition and create PO's with quality and SLA
• • To ensure follow up with Buyers for clarity on Requisition and follow up with vendors on supply.
• • Work with Accounts Payable / Master Data team in maintaining / creating Vendor
• • Validate the Purchase Order references
• • Ensure suppliers have visibility on their delivery schedules and have their goods delivered on time, before the delivery date
• • Negotiate with suppliers on payment terms
• • Take inbound customer query calls to bring solution
• • Mentor less experienced Non Product Buyer
• • Train group as new functions are introduced
• • Take initiatives towards streamlining process and help managing various metrics for the team.
• • Bring innovation ideas to do job better
• • Communicate performance and issues with onshore buyer teams for groups functions
• Identify focus areas for ongoing issues to discuss with clients and stake holders
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Educational Background
HSC/ Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management/ Business Administration with at least 6 months experience in a related field.
